The Teeling Distillery celebrates its 6th anniversary by unveiling a lego model


Who would have thought that the first new distillery in over 125 years in Dublin would have to go through a pandemic before reaching double digits?

The Teeling Distillery kicked off the renewal of the Dublin Distillery and welcomed over half a million visitors in the six years since its opening.

To celebrate their birthday this weekend, Teeling Distillery ordered a mockup from Dublin Bricks, made up of 4,173 lego bricks, which is now on display in their distillery’s exhibition space, and can be viewed by guests during the visit of the installation.

Teeling Whiskey Company Founder and Managing Director Jack Teeling commented: “In some ways the last six years have gone by very quickly, however, when we look back we have to recognize all the hard work that has been put into it. to get us to where we are now.

“We are extremely proud to revive the craft of distilling in Dublin and to have established Teeling Whiskey Distillery as a world class distillery and experience for visitors during this time.

Located at Les Libertés, tours of the distillery factory are now open Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pre-booking is essential as places are strictly limited in accordance with public health guidelines.

In the last year of lockdown, the Teeling Distillery has reached virtually over 250,000 people, but is now open again for self-guided tours, and to mark its return from in-person tours, all visitors are given a whipped ice cream. free Teddy’s which is now served from its Phoenix Café.

For the summer, a new outdoor space, the Teeling Terrace, has been created where people can enjoy a handcrafted Teeling Whiskey cocktail alfresco or have the chance to try some of the Teeling Whiskey range they don’t have. not yet discovered.

“Like a fine whiskey, our distillery ages well and we look forward to welcoming visitors again to experience our unique Teeling whiskey distillery, including the launch of our new Teeling Terrace outdoor space for the summer months,” said Teeling said.
